Joe Potuznik

I’m Pastor Joe aka Joepaaaa (my youth kids couldn't pronounce my last name, so this is what they nicknamed me instead). I came to The Crossroads in April of 2010 to serve as the Youth Pastor. I served bi-vocationally in that capacity for 8 years before becoming the full time Lead Pastor in 2018.  I grew up in a suburb just outside of Chicago, IL.  I served in the Youth and Children’s Ministry of Emmanuel Bible Church from 1986 - 2000 as well as Silver Birch Ranch, a Christian camp from 1986 - 2008. In 1998, I transferred to Moody Bible Institute to follow God’s calling into Youth Ministry. I served as Youth Pastor at Antigo Community Church in Antigo, WI from 2001 - 2006. I married my wife Rachel in 2016…the same year my beloved Cubs won the World Series making it the greatest year of my life! Rach and I have two children, Francesca (Frankie) and Tate.  I love cheering on my Chicago teams (Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks), walking, and sharks!  I love The Crossroads family and look forward to seeing what God has in store for us.
