Jim Schmidt

I am Jim Schmidt, also known as Pastor PopPop.  I have been a lifelong resident of the Lake Mills area.  My wife Teresa and I have been married since 2006 and have four grown children along with one grandchild and a second due to arrive shortly. 

 

Most of my career was in food service management, working for twenty-eight years in the kitchens of St Coletta of Wisconsin, Inc.  and finishing up with nine years at Rainbow Hospice Care, Inc. 

 

I was privileged to be a part of two mission trips to Biloxi, Mississippi to help rebuild after Hurricane Katrina and three short term mission trips to Ecuador to help with church planting. 

 

I have been a part of the Crossroads Church for ten years, becoming a member in 2012, and an Associate Pastor in July of 2020.  I currently lead the Trustee Board, the Men’s Life Group, and I am a listener and teacher in the One-Way Club Children’s Ministry.
